According to the art. N °75-27 du 29 Avril 1975 L' Université des Sciences et de la Technologie d'Oran Mohamed Boudiaf (USTO) was founded. This public building devoted to higher studies and scientific research depends on the “Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique”. The University’s main assignment is training specialists in technologies and engineering sciences.
The mission of the University is the following :
- The creation of graduated managers
- Development of knowledge for enduring training and recycling
- Development of scientific research

Partner USTO will be in charge of the archaeological survey of drainage tunnel following the historical development of settlement in Algeria (WP4)
